Les Jardins de Coursiana: a remarkable garden in La Romieu

Just a few minutes from Castet-Arrouy, Les Jardins de Coursiana offer six hectares of gardens, each with a very different character.

A garden worth visiting in its own right

Just a few minutes from Castet-Arrouy, Les Jardins de Coursiana offer six hectares of gardens, each with a very different character. Mature trees, ponds, paths, flowers and foliage create a garden that changes naturally with the seasons.

The variety and maturity of the planting are a large part of what makes Coursiana so interesting. As you follow the paths, the views keep changing, from abundant planting and remarkable trees to ponds and more open spaces.

Four different gardens in one place

The English garden combines flowers, foliage, lawns, ponds and paths.

The arboretum is home to a large collection of trees and shrubs from different parts of the world.

The family kitchen garden grows fruit, vegetables and other garden produce, while the medicinal, aromatic and scented plant garden offers something quite different, with plants chosen for their uses, scents and flowers.

Take a break in the garden

The tea room opens onto a shaded terrace in the heart of the gardens. You can try homemade sorbets made with fruit from the orchard, with flavours changing according to the harvest, as well as homemade juices and syrups.

The shop also sells jams, homemade produce and local products.

Combine it with La Romieu

The gardens are very close to the village of La Romieu and its collegiate church. The two are easy to visit together, and discounted combined tickets are available.
